Teaching Portfolio
Animation
The following projects were constructed by students attending Irvine Valley College, while enrolled in the Digital Media Arts department DMA 10-Introduction to Digital Media Arts course. As a part of this course students were introduced to the basics of animation, such as storyboarding, animation frame rates, and the animation capabilities of the Adobe Photoshop program. Students were asked to create 1-5 second animations that could loop in rotation and could be saved in a GIF format. The projects displayed below were created using the following guidelines:
- Students were to utilize Adobe Photoshop "from-by-frame" or "Timeline" animation settings to animate their artwork.
- Students were required to create their animations at 30 frames per second.
- Students were required to make their animations loop or repeat in some fashion.
- If students had a concept for a design that did not loop they were required to discuss it with the instructor to determine if it would meet the requirements of the course and assignment.
