Web Design 1
The following projects were constructed by students attending Concordia University Irvine, while enrolled in the Visual Arts/Graphic Design Program ARTG 472-Web Design 1 course. In this course students were exposed to design theory and current design techniques relating to Web Design, while expanding their knowledge and abilities in digital design software like Adobe Creative Could (Adobe CC XD & Photoshop). Students were first introduced to techniques on how to create a Site Maps, Wireframes and plan out the basics of a website. Then students where shown how to build basic mock-ups in Adobe Photoshop, and then how to finalize designs in Adobe XD. The projects displayed below were create using the following guidelines:
- Students were utilizing design theory to create branding/logos for an assigned online music magazine "Drop-C" and "Irvine Valley Animal Rescue" and create Moodboards, Design Briefs & Thumbnails.
- Students were utilizing Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator software to finalize branding/logos and create site maps, wire frames and mock-ups.
- Students were required to create two functioning Web Prototypes in Adobe XD, send out links to a team for feedback and critique.
- Students were asked to screen record the function of these Web Prototypes.
